A Green Key stands for an establishment's promise to its guests that by choosing to stay there, they are helping to make a difference for the environment and sustainable development. The high environmental standards expected of these establishments are maintained through rigorous documentation and frequent audits.
The Green Key certificate for tourism facilities has existed for 30 years, growing from a national initiative in Denmark into the world's leading eco-certification for hospitality establishments.
